Club Trips and Events

This is the first session for the year due to pool maintenance

The Club hires the Riverside Pool each Wednesday night 7.30-8.45pm for Club members & non-members alike to train & practice kayak techniques indoors in warm water.

Instruction in rolling technique is usually available from Club mentors. See website under “TRAINING” for details as to costs and requirements.

Location/time: 6 for 6.30pm at the skateboard half-pipe at Tahunanui.

Session theme: Towing

Specific focus: You may never know when you will need to assist a fellow paddler over a long distance, or even just a short tow away from danger. This week, towing techniques and practice in both short and long tows. Ideal for club trip leaders

Waikawa to Ratimera, Queen Charlotte Sound Camping 1 night. Option to go for a night time paddle with some luminescent.

$8 per night pay cash on arrival at the self-registration stand at the campsite or use a DOC Campstite Pass
