Matai Bay Hut is – you guessed it – in Matai Bay (also known as Godsiff Bay), Tennyson Inlet. It is a cute 6-bunk hut with sea access only, about an hour’s paddle from Penzance Bay, a great base or stop-over for sea kayakers. DOC owns the hut but theTennyson Inlet Boat Club (TIBC) manages it and has recently made some big improvements.
Part of the funding for TIBC’s work comes from the sale of a 13-month wall calendar with photos from Tennyson Inlet and a handy format for reminders.
